Hall of Famer Young Dies at 84
Harry K. "Cy" Young, 84, former athlete, coach and alumni secretary at Washington and Lee University and member of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame, died Saturday at a Richmond, Va. hospital.
Young, who graduated from W&L in 1917, won four letters each in football, basketball, baseball and track and was a team captain in each sport. He was one of the early members of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
