Willard M. Lewis
AMBRIDGE - Willard M. Lewis, a real estate and insurance broker and former owner of the Willard M. Lewis Co., died yesterday in Sewickley Valley Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Lewis, 69, lived here at 1128 Ridge Road.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ambridge, IOOF Clover Lodge 348, IOOF Encampment 259, F & AM 701, Ambridge Rotary, BPOE 983, Beaver County Caravan 18 and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of New Castle.
Also, Syria Temple of Pittsburgh, Beaver Valley Council 54, Beaver County Branch of Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, Beaver County Board of Viewers, Beaver County Association of Football and Basketball Officials and board of directors of the Mellon National Bank and Trust Co., Ambridge.
Surviving are his widow, Edith M.; a daughter, Mrs. Paul L. Medis of Moon Twp.; a son, attorney Robert W. of Ambridge; a sister, Mrs. Perce Houlette of Beaver Falls, and nine grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the Kenneth E. Hare Funeral Home, 500 Park Road, here, where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
The family suggests contributions to the memorial fund of the First United Methodist Church Ambridge, or Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Philadelphia.
