Herman R. Rockenbach
Herman R. Rockenbach, 88, formerly of the Richmond area, died Monday in Meadow Brook Home, a nursing home in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he resided.
He had been an assistant regional engineer and a civil engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad until his retirement in 1956. He had also been employed by the Indiana State Highway Department and was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva.
Survivors include two daughters, Elva Louise Greene of Glenview, Ill., and Aileen Blosser of Cherry Hill, N.J.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Rockenbach will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Dalbert & Woodruff Funeral Home in Cincinnati. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery there. Friends may call from 7 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
