Tigers Easy for Wildcat Quintet
Illness Forces Two Georgetown Men from Game in Second Half
GEORGETOWN, Ky., Feb. 17 -- Basketball representatives of Kentucky University toured over tonight and bearded the Tigers on their own floor.
The game was decided in the last ten minutes of play when Adams, captain of the local reception committee, who is recovering from a recent illness, was forced to quit the floor. Sympson going in. Ira Brown substituted for Birch, who quit the court on account of illness with five minutes to go.
Taking the lead with four points early in the first half, the visitors shortly increased it by another register and at the end of the half the tally stood box cars to a low natural in favor of the University quintet.
Early in the second half the pacemakers stepped up to 15 points. The local side of the va unhooked a burst and ran their tally up to 14 points, threatening to tie the score, but swinging into the stretch the visitors whipped up and the final whistle caught the handwriting on the wall at 28 to 16.
Stellar work for the local five was done by Lehnhard and Black, at guard. The floor work of the Tigers was consistently good, but their marksmen were unable to locate the basket.
Hayden, Kentucky University forward, carried off honors as high scorer.

KENTUCKY DEFEATS GEORGETOWN FIVE
GEORGETOWN, KY., Feb. 18 - University of Kentucky basketeers defeated the Georgetown College Tigers Tuesday night by the score of 28 to 16, the visitors having the better of the contest at every stage. The Wildcats took the lead at the start and retained it thruout the game. Hayden, of Kentucky, and Lehnhard and Black, of Georgetown, carried off individual honors.
