Singleton Joseph Yeary Jr., 75, Garden Springs Drive, former president of Yeary Lumber & Concrete Co. in Nicholasville, former Second National Bank employee, former University of Kentucky basketball player, died yesterday.
Services 11:30 a.m. Friday, Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville. Visitation 10 a.m. Friday, Betts & West Funeral Home, Nicholasville.

Singleton Joseph Yeary Jr., 75, of Garden Springs Drive, Lexington, died unexpectedly at his home.
He was the retired president of Yeary Lumber and Concrete Company, Nicholasville, and was a former employee of Second National Bank. He played center on the first Lafayette basketball state championship team and was a member of the University of Kentucky basketball team during the Fab Five for two years.
He is survived by a daughter, Iana Year Wood and her husband, Steve, of Nashville; a son, Singleton Yeary IIIof Lawrenceburg, two grandchildren, Steve Wood III and Elizabeth Wood, both of Nashville, a stepgrandaughter, Katherine Wood of Nashville, a sister, Mrs. Robert F. Simpson of Nicholasville; and a brother, Richard C. Yeary of Georgetown, S.C.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 16 at 11:39 at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Honorary bearers were Barclay Sturgill, Lynn Grogan, Ed Allin, Bob Fain and Richard Derrickson.
Betts & West Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
