Obituary - Arthur Price Shanklin, Louisville Courier-Journal (August 22, 1968)
Shanklin was vice president and general sales manager of Carrier Corp., Syracuse, N.Y. He retired 12 years ago and moved to Louisville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Manuel Revenga, Madrid, Spain and Mrs. Wilson M. Brown Jr., Charlotte N.C., and eight grandchildren.
The body will be cremated in Louisville. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lexington Cemetery.
Arthur Price Shanklin, 69, of Louisville, retired vice president and general sales manager of the Carrier Corp., died Tuesday at a Louisville nursing home after an illness of several years.
He was a native of Lexington and was a son of the late George Sea and Lily Shelby Shanklin Jr. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was a Presbyterian. He had lived in Louisville for 12 years.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Wilson Brown Jr., Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Manuel Revenga, Madrid, Spain; eight grandchildren and a nephew, Shelby Shanklin Jr., Lexington.
