Obituary - Otto Schwant Dead at 71, Charleston (WV) Gazette (November 27, 1965)
Mr. Schwant, 71, of Logan, died Thursday at home after an apparent heart attack.
He was a consulting engineer, elder in the Presbyterian Church and member of the Rotary Club and Aracoma Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are his widow, Kathryn Cook Schwant; daughters, Mrs. E.R. Cantley and Mrs. Robert R. Pierson, both of Lexington, Ky.; mother Mrs. Bertha Schwant of Covington, Ky.; sisters, Mrs. Carl Rader and Mrs. Naylor Humphrey, both of Covington Ky.

O.G. Schwant Dies in West Virginia Lexington Herald (November 26, 1965)
Mr. Schwant, retired general manager of the Hutchinson Coal Co., was president of the First Federal Building and Loan Association in Logan at the time of his death. He also was consulting engineer for several coal companies.
He was a 1917 graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Cooke Schwant; two sisters, Mrs. Naylor Humphrey and Mrs. Karl Rader, both of South Fort Mitchell, and two grandchildren, George Ernest Cantley and Annaillse Pierson, Lexington.
