Obituary - Daniel K. Perry, Lima (OH) News (April 15, 1982)
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Siferd Westwood Chapel for Lima dentist Daniel K. Perry, 30, of 2089 Maplewood Lane. He was dead on arrival at noon Tuesday at Stouter Hospital in Troy. Miami County Coroner Dr. William Adkins ruled death was self-inflicted asphyxia due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
He was born Sept. 22, 1951, in Lima, the son of Herman L. and Louise Whitaker Perry Sr., who survive in Lima. He married Kathy Zirkle, who survives in Lexington, Ky.
Dr. Perry was a graduate of Shawnee High School, the University of Kentucky and University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He played basketball in high school and college and held the single game scoring record of 52 points in one game at Shawnee High School.
Survivors also include a daughter, Ashley Perry of Huntsville, Ala.; a brother, Herman L. Perry Jr. of Lima; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Myers and Debbie Harris, both of Lima; maternal grandmother, Betty Woodall of Lima; and paternal grandmother, Minnie Miller of Lima.
Rev. Ronald B. Cannon will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
Friends may call until 4 and from 7 to 9 today at the funeral home.
