Obituary - William Jackson, Anderson (IN) Herald (October 15, 1968)
William (Billy Carol) Jackson of 6722 E. 18th St., a member of the AHS state basketball championship in 1935, died Monday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis, after six months of illness.
A native of Anderson, he was born Dec. 5, 1917, and had lived here until he moved to Indianapolis 16 years ago. He had been employed 14 years at Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis, and was a member of the Arlington Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Margaret; two sons, Terry V. Jackson and James Irving Jackson; three step-children, Mrs. Linda Rooselot, Miss Debbie Campbell and Gary Campbell; two grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel, 5811 E. 38th St., Indianapolis, and entombment will be in Washington Park East.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
