Obituary - Heart Attack is Fatal to Arthur Bastin, Lexington Herald-Leader (March 10, 1957)
Mr. Bastin was born in East Bernstadt, Ky., and was a son of the late Samuel L. and Mattie Pearl Bastin. He was educated in Lexington high schools, attended the University of Kentucky, and had lived here since 1913.
He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega social fraternity. Oleika Temple Shrine and the Lexington Country Club. Mr. Bastin was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Wilburn Bastin and a sister, Mrs. Harry G. Herring, Lexington.
The body was removed to the W.R. Milward Mortuary where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Leslie R. Smith, pastor of Central Christian Church will officiate, and burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
