Harry Good Had Coached Sports at Indiana Central, IU
MINNEAPOLIS - Services for Harry C. Good, 95, Minneapolis, a former coach at Indiana Central College and Indiana University, will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 1 in Walker Methodist Chapel.
He died Jan. 23
A 1925 graduate of Indiana Central College, now the University of Indianapolis, Mr. Good coached all major sports at the college from 1927 to 1943.
Then he coached basketball at Indiana University from 1943 to 1946.
Mr. Good coached basketball at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln from 1946 to 1954; he also coached golf and was a professor of physical education until retiring in 1970.
He had received an honorary doctorate from Indiana Central. He was elected to the Indiana Central Hall of Fame, the Small College Coach Hall of Fame and the Nebraska Coaches Hall of Fame.
He was the widower of Ann McKenzie Good.
Survivors include children Bob, Joe, Larry Good, Sue Arndt: brother Richard Good; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson.
