Robert Mack Kinnan
Robert Mack Kinnan, age 84, died Tuesday.
He was born in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was a 1930 graduate of the University of Iowa. He was a 1930 graduate of the University of Iowa; and athletic director at Washington University in St. Louis, before serving in the Navy. Mr. Kinnan was a founding member of the Headliners Club and a member of the Board of Trustees. He was a Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the First City Bank of Austin at the time of his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Carrier Kinnan, Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen and Charles Ferguson, Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Mack Jr. and Margaret Kinnan, Kaufman; grandchildren, Gretchen and Charles Ferguson, Kathryn, Mary Margaret, and Caroline Kinnan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, with the Reverend Anne Hoey officiating. Burial will be in Austin Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be John S. Burns, Malcolm Milburn, Thomas O. Murphey, George Robinson, John Joseph , Dr. Gerald Senter, Sal Levatino, Dr. Nelson Avery, Gene Gidel, Dr. C. Dale Parker, and Thomas Harper, III.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seton Development Board or the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
